Optimal and Safe Medication Administration (OSMA): Workshop


A comprehensive and practical workshop for staff undertaking training (or annual update of training) for competency in assisting with medication administration.

The 6 hour workshop provides a sound basis for staff and includes practical demonstrations of medication administration procedures and the use of devices, as well as discussions regarding the handling of a variety of scenarios.

The participants are required to complete a workbook following the workshop which is marked by Meditrax with pass mark of 80%.  A Practical Assessment booklet is provided to the Manager for completing the competency assessment of the participants.
